Challenge: The original concept used a metal plate wrapped in silicone spikes to attach to a hairdryer barrel. Engineering evaluation identified that the rigid metal core limited compatibility across hairdryer models and risked compromising comfort and long-term usability.
Solution: Morpho’s engineering team proposed eliminating the metal plate entirely and redesigning the product as a fully silicone structure. The all-silicone design improved elasticity, broadened compatibility across hairdryer sizes, simplified the construction, and reduced production cost — without sacrificing performance.
Outcome: The final product achieved universal compatibility across hairdryer types. Following launch, DrySpike gained strong social media traction, particularly among beauty-conscious younger consumers, earning recognition for its innovative design and functionality.
